Angelita Sosa

Mrs. Angelita Maria Sosa, 35, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2023.  She was born February 15, 1987, in Collier County Florida to the Romualdo Sosa Matias and the late Hermelinda Dimas Sosa.

Angelita was a devoted and caring wife, sister, daughter, and friend. She was a first-generation college student who graduated from the University of South Florida in 2010 with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology and a minor in Psychology.  Angelita loved arts & crafts, photography, being silly, and most importantly, spending time with her loved ones. She was a Chevy classics enthusiast and had big plans with her husband.

We all remember her as a strong person who pushed through rough times with a smile. She fought her battles with the support and prayers from her family. She brought us laughter and hundreds of memorable moments.

In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Margarita Pacheco Sosa.  Angelita is survived by her loving husband, Edgardo Jimenez; two sisters, Monica and Delia; three brothers: Jose B., Jose A., and Rey; three sisters-in-law: Rosy, Veronica, and Jennifer; two brothers-in-law, Gera and Andy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted 1:00 PM Saturday, February 4th at Saint Benedict The Moor Catholic Church with Father Henry Tutuwan officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
