Mrs. Angeline Griffin McGee Hamm, 85, passed away Sunday, November 8, 2009 at Village Care of King. She was born in Forsyth County on November 4, 1924 to the late Jesse Lee and Ola Styers Griffin. Mrs. Hamm was a member of Christ Temple in Winston-Salem. She loved music and was a wonderful pianist. She retired from Forsyth Memorial Hospital in 1987 with 19 years of service and prior to then she had worked 26 years at Hanes Hosiery in Winston-Salem. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Numa Edward McGee, her second husband, William Hamm, a son, Edward McGee, one sister and one brother. Mrs. Hamm is survived by a son, Tim McGee and wife Vera of King, a daughter-in-law, Carol McGee of Tobaccoville, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two sisters and two brothers. A private graveside service for Mrs. Hamm will be conducted at a later date. (Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel)
