Angela Karagiorgis Siafacas

Angela Karagiorgis Siafacas, 88, passed away Friday, May 22, 2015 at Homestead Hills. She was born in Viniani, Greece to Dimitrios and Maria Karagiorgis. Angela traveled the world with her husband, Spiros, living in Greece, India, Guatemala and Switzerland. She enjoyed cooking and accumulated recipes from around the world. She had a passion for gardening and was blessed with a green thumb. In her younger years she enjoyed an active lifestyle including hiking and cross country skiing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Spiros A. Siafacas and sister, Nikki Surrey. She is survived by Veronica and George Walker, Alex and Tatiana Siafacas and Maria Siafacas, and grandchildren, Nestor, Zack and Diana Walker, and Alexander and Aristotle Siafacas. Her surviving siblings are Dina Havelos, Nick Karagiorgis and Rose Kroustalis. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 am, at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church with Fr. Demetri Kangelaris officiating. Burial will follow in the Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday June 1st, 2015 at the church with a Trisagion service at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church at 435 Keating Dr. Winston Salem, NC 27104.
