Andy Christopher Stafford, Sr.

KERNERSVILLE-Andy Christopher Stafford, Sr., 88, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at his home. He was born January 10, 1922 in Forsyth Co. to the late John L. Stafford, Sr. and Pearl Fields Stafford. Mr. Stafford was a member of Bunker Hill United Methodist Church and a WWII US Army veteran. He also was a farmer and had retired from Joyce Developers. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Knight Stafford; and his son, Ralph Stafford. Surviving are two sons, Chris and Gary Stafford both of Kernersville; his daughter, Vickie Edwards and husband Curtis of Virginia; three grandchildren, Gary, Amy, and Debbie; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mae Dillard and Kay Crews; one brother, Donald Stafford all of Kernersville. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Friday, February 19, 2010 at Bunker Hill United Methodist Church with the Rev. David Rorie officiating. Burial will follow in Bunker Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the Stafford family.
