Mr. Andrew Wesley Keicher, 76, passed away on Sunday, November 28, 2021. He was born in Forsyth County on October 2, 1945 to Andrew “Carlyle” Keicher and Helen Edna King Keicher. Andrew served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war. He was an extremely loyal member of Triad Vietnams Veterans Association. Andrew suffered from PTSD, but he never let that stop him from living a normal life in society. He sang in the Winston-Salem Symphony when he was younger. His father owned Keicher’s Garage, which Andrew took over ownership of when his father passed away. He loved to dance. You could always find him at the American Legion, the VFW, or anywhere local they would be having a dance at on the weekends. His last residence was at Creekside Retirement Community, where he made lots of friends. Andrew was a fixture and always made his presence known anywhere he would go. He will be fondly missed by all who had the privilege to know him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by two sisters. Surviving are his loving girlfriend, Georgia Smith; special friends, Walter Emery and wife, Stephanie; one sister; one niece; and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice & Palliative Care of Yadkinville, 243 N Lee Ave, Yadkinville, NC 27055 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
