Andrew Wade Idol

Colfax - Mr. Andrew Wade Idol, 86 passed away Friday, February 3, 2017 at Shannon Gray Rehab. Center. He was born August 24, 1930, in Guilford County to the late Bascom H. and Sallie Idol.
Mr. Idol retired after 30 yrs. from Kaiser Roth textiles where he was a machinist. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy ""Dot"" Sells Idol, a sister Lucille Marshall and her husband, Daniel Reece Marshall, and grandson Joseph Reese.

He is survived by his son Gary W. Idol (Cindy) of Colfax; daughter Brenda Reese (Sheldon) of Elizabethtown, NC; grandchildren Rev. Derik Idol (Meagan); Jason Idol; Thomas Reese and Laura Hoflich (Daniel), and a great granddaughter, Abby Idol.

A service will be conducted 2:00 PM Monday, February 6, 2017 at Shady Grove Wesleyan Church with Rev. Phil Kirkman, and Rev. Nate Kingsbury officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 1:45 pm prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow the service at the church in the church cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Shady Grove Wesleyan Church Building Fund at 119 North Bunker Hill Rd. Colfax, NC 27235.
