Amy Jordan Tapscott

Mrs. Amy Jordan Tapscott, 85, went home to be with the Lord on September 12, 2015. She was born on November 12, 1929, to the late Dewey and Letitia Jordan in Caroline County, Virginia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, B. R. Tapscott (Tap); siblings, Mildred Newhouse, Myrtle Fitzhugh, Lois Bryant, Effie Birkhead, Madeline Carter, Peter and Earl Jordan. She is survived by her son, Ron Tapscott (Deborah); daughter, Debbie Franklin (Phillip); four grandchildren, Matt, Brooke, Lindsey, and Casey; and six great- grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 19, 2015, at Goodwill Baptist Church, 8701 Hungary Spring Road, Richmond, Virginia. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grayson Creek Memory Care, 6781 Old US HWY 52, Lexington, North Carolina 27295.
