Amy Bryant

Miss Amy Lynn Bryant, 61, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Murdoch Center. She was born August 1, 1956 in Surry County, the daughter of Isom Bays Bryant, Jr. and Ruby Roette Cockerham Bryant. She lived at Murdoch Center for most of her life, was of the Baptist Faith, enjoyed music, loved to eat and loved her family. Amy loved to extend her family by showing love to all she met. She never forgot a name, birthdate, social event or a face. Her work ethic was a strength in her life and was her driving force. Amy inspired and humbled all who knew her and through her love, we all learned that everyone was first a human being. She is preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her sisters, Brenda Gail Bryant of Winston-Salem and Cynthia Bryant Granade of Winston-Salem; a special friend, Ken Butler of Winston-Salem; three nieces, Deborah Hix Morgan of Kernersville, Sarah Wren Granade of Arlington, VA and Ashlyn Granade Neilson (Corey) of Charlotte; three great-nieces, Kasey Culler (Luke Vasold), Devan Yountz (Bobby) and Cadence Neilson; a great-nephew, Cooper Neilson and her family at the Murdoch Center. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Church with Mr. Ken Saunders officiating. Interment will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Murdoch Center, 1515 East C Street, Butner, NC 27509.
