Mrs. Amelia Findley Meadors, 75, passed away unexpectedly on February 10, 2017 at her home. She was born June 30, 1941 in Honea Path, SC to the late Walter Curtis Findley and Rosalie Elizabeth Snipes Findley. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Meadors attended Furman University and was a graduate of Erskine College in Due West, SC. She was employed with Catherine's Women's Store for 20 years and retired from Rite Aid on Robinhood Road. She will always be remembered as a loving and devoted wife and mother. Mrs. Meadors was preceded in death by her parents, and her sisters and brothers, June Findley, David Findley, James Walter Findley, and Nettie Salthouse. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, John Michael Meadors; her children, Melanie Meadors Weatherman and husband Greg of Lewisville and Michael Glenn Meadors of North Wilkesboro; her brother-in-law, Kenneth Salthouse of Drexel; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Findley of Clemson and Anne Gray and husband Michael of Easley, SC. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday February 18, 2017 in the mausoleum chapel at Greenville Memorial Gardens, 7784 Augusta Rd., Piedmont, SC 29673 with the Rev. H. A. Scott III officiating. The family will receive friends one half hour prior to the service. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Senior Services, 2895 Shorefair Dr. NW, Winston-Salem, NC 27105.
