Miss Amber Marie McCarty, 23 of Mt. Airy, NC has gone to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on May 10, 2014. Amber was a loving, caring, free spirited and compassionate young lady with a very ""bubbly"" outgoing and contagious personality. She was born on February 14, 1991 in Colorado Springs, Co. to Michelle McCarty and Denny Williams, Jr. Amber attended Mt. Airy High School and Surry Community College. She was preceded in death by her father, Denny Williams, Jr. and her grandfather, James Daniel McCarty. Surviving to cherish her many wonderful memories are: her mother, Michelle McCarty and Steven Porter of Asheboro, NC; two brothers: Seth Jarvis of Asheboro, NC and Denny Williams, III, of Walnut Cove, NC; her stepbrother and stepsister: Kristian and Makayla Porter; her grandmothers: Freda Johnson of Mt. Airy, NC, Helen (McCarty) Sanford of Greensboro, NC and Becky (Williams) Shelton of Walnut Cove, NC; her aunts and uncles: Jeromie and Jessica Millwood of Shelby, NC, A.J. Johnson, Jr. and fiancé, Kandi Taylor of Stuart, VA, Brian McCarty of Houston, TX, Mike and Kim Handshoe of Rural Hall, NC, Larry and Angie Shelton of Walnut Cove, NC, Sharon Williams Mendenhall of Walnut Cove, NC. The funeral Service will be conducted on Friday, May 16, 2014 at 2:00pm at Central Triad Church located at 2935 Cole Rd. Winston-Salem, NC, officiated by Pastor David Brown. Immediately following the service, Amber will be laid to rest beside her grandfather, James McCarty, in the Woodland Cemetery in Winston-Salem, NC. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00pm on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Hayworth Miller Funeral Home located at 305 Bethania-Rural Hall Rd. Rural Hall, NC.
