Amanda Janel Palmer Tarpley, 34, and her sons Coleton, 9 and Charlie ""cha-cha"", 6, were prematurely taken from this world on Wednesday, February 4, 2015. Amanda had previously worked at Forsyth Medical Center in Orthopedics and later in case management. After the birth of her boys, she became a dedicated full-time mommy, volunteering at their school and attending to all of Charlie's medical needs. Coleton and Charlie both were beloved students at Poplar Springs Elementary, where they were adored by their schoolmates, teachers and everyone else who came in contact with these sweet boys. Coleton served as Charlie's protector and ""big brother"". The family takes comfort in knowing that although their loved ones are gone to soon, they know that God is grieving with them while rejoicing in the presence of his newest Angels. They are survived by a family that will forever love them: parents and grandparents Kay and Danny Vogler, brother and uncle, Bruce Palmer, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. They were preceded in death by grandparents and great grandparents Charlie and Dorothy Wood of Roanoke, VA. A memorial service honoring Amanda and her boys will be conducted Sunday, February 8 at Loves United Methodist Church in Walkertown with Rev. David Smith officiating at 2 PM. A family graveside service will be held at Loves Cemetery on Tuesday, February 10 at 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Loves United Methodist Church, Charlie & Coleton Memorial Fund.
