Alma Louise Little Sharpe, age 92 entered her heavenly home on Saturday, August 10, 2024, with family by her side. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Alma was born November 9, 1931, in Iredell County, NC. She was the daughter of the late Claude Franklin Little and Dema Pearl (Goodman) Little. In addition to her mother and father, Alma was preceded in death by her husband Walter Leon Sharpe, her daughter, Tamara Sharpe Joyner, son-in-law, Gene Joyner, sister, Wilma Little Ford, and Ethel Little Hutchens, brother, Harold Little, and grandson-in-law, Auston Reudelhuber.
She graduated from Troutman High School and later married her beloved Leon on April 22, 1950, and eventually made their home in Winston-Salem. She was a homemaker for many years and was blessed with six children. Later in life she was employed at SRB Technology for 20 years and thoroughly enjoyed her job and the friends she made there.
She lived her life for the Lord, her husband, her beloved children, family and friends. The special music in her service reflects her life, her devotion and were her specific choices.
Alma leaves behind to cherish her memory, five sons: Terry L. Sharpe (Lynn), Gerald “Tom” Sharpe (Rhonda), Billy L. Sharpe (Gay), Mark A. Sharpe, and David A. Sharpe; three sisters, Carol L. Lambeth, Bobbie L. Wiggins, and Christine L. Menster. One brother, Bill Little. Also surviving Alma are her six grandchildren, Hope S. Johnston (Randall), Terry L. Sharpe, Jr. (Kemily), Gerald “Tom” Sharpe, Jr. (Carrie), John B. Sharpe (Melissa), Rachel L. Reudelhuber, and Carmen J. Byland (Cole). Twelve great-grandchildren, Katie and Allie Johnston, Madison Sturdivant, Aydan Sharpe, Camdyn and Talyn Sharpe, Katelynn, Chole and Courtney Sharpe, Addie and Raelyn Reudelhuber, and Auston R. Byland. Also surviving Alma are many special nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 12pm on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at Parklawn Memorial Park with Rev. Jamie Demby officiating.
