Allen "Al" Woody

Kernersville – Mr. Allen “Al” Robert Woody, 74, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 13, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Avery County, NC to Joseph Lindsey and Nan Stamey Woody. Al was a veteran of the United States Army and was a proud member of the VFW. He loved to garden, hunt, fish, and just enjoyed being outdoors.

In addition to his parents, Al was preceded in death by his brother, Russell Woody and his son-in-law, Thomas “Dean” Hobbs, Jr. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 32 years, Linda Hull Woody; two daughters, Andrea Parker and Brandy Hobbs; two grandchildren, Tanner Hobbs and Avery Hobbs; his sister, Shirley Hauser; sister-in-law, Karen Woody; as well as his nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Al will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, August 20, 2021 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Dr. Pete Kunkle officiating.
