Allen Dean Sheets

Mr. Allen Sheets, 45 went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 6, 2014. Heaven has gained a true angel. Allen was born on July 21, 1968 in Forsyth County to William Dean and Patricia Jones Sheets. Allen retired from Duke Energy in 2006 as a Control Operator. He loved classic cars, NASCAR racing, and hunting with his father in Montana. Allen was a strong family man, and had the most amazing love for his wife and two girls. Allen had a strong passion for helping others. He especially connected with youth and young adults, sharing compelling passion for helping them ""grow"" their faith. Allen served in ministry at The Summit Church in many ways, Small Group Leader, Greeter, Host Team Leader, Camp Leader, and Impact Leader, touching many lives along the way. His smile and helpful heart will be greatly missed.

Allen was preceded in death by grandparents Elijah and Ada Perry Sheets and Bruce and Flois Fox Jones and two uncles Jerry Sheets and John Jones.

Surviving are his wife of 25 years, Michelle Hutchings Sheets; two daughters, Tiffany Elizabeth and Lauren Elizabeth Sheets, of the home; his parents, William and Patricia; one sister, Lisa Lineback (Gil); close friend, Robert Berry; several nieces and nephews; and his faithful canine companion ""Dipstick"".

A service to celebrate Allen's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 13, 2014 at The Summit Church in Kernersville. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.

In lieu of flowers, Allen would like to continue to take care of his girls. A memorial has been set up for his daughters through BB&T bank. Checks should be made out to Michelle Sheets with memo ‘Tiffany and Lauren' and sent to the home address, 855 Sedge Garden Road, Kernersville, NC 27284.
