Allen Wayne Evans

Mr. Allen Wayne Evans, age 65 of Mocksville passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at his home. Mr. Evans was born in Forsyth County, November 1, 1951 to William and Iowa Plemmons Evans. Allen loved and cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren. He enjoyed antiques, hunting and playing golf. In addition to his parents Allen was preceded in death by one brother, Arvel Evans. Allen is survived by one daughter, Wendy (Amiss) Bartlett of Winston-Salem. One son, Kevin Evans of Winston-Salem. Five grandchildren; Brittany, Ashley, and Christopher Evans and Sadie and Luke Bartlett. One great-granddaughter, Kinleah Kost. Two sisters; Shelby (Delmar) Lawson of Walkertown and Carolyn (William, Jr.) West of Kernersville. One brother, Marshall Evans of King. Several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will held Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Walkertown conducted by Rev. Jon White. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 1900 South Hawthorne Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall is serving the Evans family.
