Allen Clin Beeson

Mr. Allen Clin Beeson passed away on Wednesday January 18, 2017 at the age of 100. Allen was born August 11, 1916 to the late Richard Beeson and Zella Mendenhall Beeson. He loved his country and served it proudly. Allen was awarded the Purple Heart for injuries during combat in World War II. He retired from Hanes Hosiery with 37 years of service. Allen then enjoyed fishing, bowling, gardening, and was an avid farmer. Allen was a member of Konnoak Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Pauline ""Polly"" Beeson; and step granddaughter Allison Taylor Norton. Allen is survived by a daughter Carol Celene Davis of Winston-Salem; a son David Beeson of King; grandson Wesley Beeson of King; granddaughter Charity Beeson and fiancé David Bullard of Wilmington; and great granddaughter Olivia Bullard of Wilmington. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday January 21, 2017 at Konnoak Baptist Church with the Rev. John Bishop officiating. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:30-11:30 AM Saturday at Konnoak Baptist Church.
