Mrs. Alice Wilson Sexton, 85, passed away Monday, September 1, 2014 at the Arbor Acres Retirement Community. She was born September 18, 1928 in Kernersville to Estelle Rumley Wilson and Ralph Virgil Wilson. Mrs. Sexton was a 1950 graduate of the Womens' College in Greensboro and then taught school at Moore Elementary. She was married in 1954 to Myron Wade Sexton, who preceded her in death in 2004. Mrs. Sexton was a longtime resident of Lewisville, where she was an active member of the Lewisville United Methodist Church, and in her latter years resided at Arbor Acres. Alice had a very bright intellect, and a kind and creative spirit. She will be dearly missed. Surviving are a son, Neal Sexton of Fayetteville; two grandchildren, Lynnsay Elizabeth Sexton of Marietta, GA and James Hampton Sexton of Winston-Salem; one brother, Ralph Virgil Wilson, Jr. (Jane) of Chattanooga, TN; one niece, Gwen Echols (Jerry ""Punk"") of Chattanooga, TN and a cousin, Blanche Barbara Stafford (Boyd) of Kernersville. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 6, 2014 in the Robinson Hall at Arbor Acres with Rev. Dr. Ivan Peden and Rev. Arnold Lovell officiating.
