Alice Layell Ellis

Mrs. Alice Layell Ellis, 68, of Advance, passed away Monday, December 20, 2010 at her home. Alice was born in Forsyth County on May 12, 1942, to the late Bramlet Watson and Nora Faw Layell. She was a member of the Lola Douthit Circle at Macedonia Moravian Church as well as the Sonshine Girls at Cornerstone Christian Church. Alice is survived by her loving husband, Charlie Ellis; a son, Jackie Ellis and wife Teresa of Advance; two daughters, Charlynne Lynch and husband Jeff of Advance and Judy Ellis and husband Martin Johansen of Raelingen, Norway; four grandchildren, Brannon Lynch and wife Felicia, Diego Martinez-Ellis, and Wesley and Bryce Ellis; two brothers, Ezra and Johnny Layell; and three sisters, Ruth Goforth, Alvia Owens, and Brenda Stitz. A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 pm Thursday, December 23, 2010 at Macedonia Moravian Church with the Rev. Jeff Carter and the Rev. Kevin Frack officiating.
