Alice Faye Crutchfield Burnell

OAK RIDGE - Alice Faye Crutchfield Burnell, 74, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Moses Cone Hospital. Alice was born on November 16, 1942 in Guilford County to A.B. and Ethel Long Crutchfield. She loved her family and loved to help others in need.

In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her brother, Glenn Crutchfield and sister, Elsie Crutchfield.

Surviving are three children, Joe Burnell (Ruth), Sheila Wilkerson (Chuck Jr.), and Keith Burnell (Sandra); seven grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one sister, Marie Spainhour (husband, Paul); three brothers, Lawrence Crutchfield (Thelma), Wiley ""Bobby"" Crutchfield (Vivian) and David Crutchfield (Stella).

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 5, 2017 at Pleasant Ridge Christian Church Cemetery with Pastor Bill Meredith officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Saturday, March 4, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel.
