Mrs. Alice Jahnke Bergmann, 76, of Winston-Salem passed away Monday, February 21, 2011 at The Oaks at Forsyth. She was born March 7, 1934 in Pepin, Wisconsin to George and Myrtle Peters Jahnke who preceded her in death. Mrs. Bergman was a member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church for the past 36 years. She was retired from HGS Construction Company with many years of service. She loved square dancing and round dancing. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Surviving are her loving husband of 55 years, Lloyd H. Bergmann of the home; five daughters, Bonnie Wilson and husband Randy of Cedarville, OH, Beverly Bergmann of Upper Marlboro, MD, Patty Bergmann of Ann Arbor, MI, Diane Trampe and husband Mark of Hillsboro, NJ, and Kathy Schechter and husband Larry of Stafford, VA; eight grandchildren; three brothers, Dennis Jahnke and wife Donna of Altoona, WI, Virgil Jahnke of Augusta, GA, and Merlin Jahnke and wife Ida of Florida. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 28 at Pine Grove United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Stephen M. Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Sunday, February 27 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
