Alfred M. Linville

Mr. Alfred Montgomery Linville, 76, of Advance passed away Wednesday, December 02, 2009 at his home. He was born May 31, 1933 in Surry County to Oscar and Lillian Holyfield Linville. Mr. Linville retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company in 1987 after 35 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean Vestal Linville and is survived by a son, Bryan Linville and wife Tammy of Charlotte; two sisters, Gloria Key of Winston-Salem and Lola Vestal of Stokesdale and two brothers, Olin Linville of Winston-Salem and Ralph Linville of Boonville. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 5, 2009 at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel with Dr. Ray Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Baptist Church in Dobson. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday, December 4, 2009 at the funeral home.
