Alberta Mae Foltz

Alberta Mae Foltz, 88, of Winston-Salem went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 15, 2013. The family will receive friends at Friedberg Moravian Church on Thursday April 18, 2013 at 10:00 AM. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM with the Rev. G. Thomas Shelton and Rev. James C. Newsome, Jr. officiating. Mrs. Foltz was a dedicated mother and grandmother as well as a loving wife to her late husband of 42 years, Mr. Lonnie E. Foltz. Her greatest passions in life were nurturing her family, working on the dairy farm with her husband and caring for her aging parents for many years. She leaves behind her daughters Gail Huddleston and Jeannie Smith and husband Don; sons Mike Foltz and Ronnie Foltz and wife Leigh; step-daughter Judy Foltz Gandy; siblings Dot Cousiamono, Ronald Hayes, Jimmy Hayes and Ann Michael. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and her sisters-in-law Kathie, Evelyn, and Crystal. Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents Newton and Ada Hayes as well as siblings Marion Hayes, Gene Hayes, Bud Hayes, Whitey Hayes, Vinson Hayes, and Gertrude Lineback. The family has requested that memorials be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292 or to Friedberg Moravian Church, 2178 Friedberg Church Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27127.
