Mr. Albert Pekora , 91, passed away on Tuesday, June 26 peacefully in his home. He was born in Phila., PA on September 24, 1920, youngest son of Theodore and Margaret Pekora. He attended public schools in Philadelphia, and worked at Frankford Arsenal before moving the family to Satellite Beach, Fla. He retired as a contract analyst at Patrick Airforce Base. Al was very active in his community during his 43 years in Satellite Beach: Loins Club, Board of Directors of the Satellite Beach Library, member of the City Planning and Board of Adjustment, Chairman of the City Council, Commissioner of Police and Public Safety and Acting Chief of police. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Joe and Frank, sister Margaret, and his beloved Jennie (Virginia Haire). He is survived by his daughters Sally Hauser (Ron) of Advance and Phyllis Caffey (Bill) of Lansing; grandsons Matthew (Jordan) Hauser of Winston-Salem, Christopher Hauser, of Charlotte, Jeffrey Prato of Dripping Springs, Texas; and great grandson David Brayden Hauser. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 30 at 10:00 at Forsyth Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. The family would like to exend heartfelt thanks to all of the wonderful caregivers and staff at Bermuda Village who took such great care of Mom and Dad.
