Albert Eugene "Gene" Gautier

Mr. Albert Eugene ""Gene"" Gautier, 83, passed away on January 1, 2016 at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. He was born on October 6, 1932 to Thomas Jefferson Gautier and Laura Lee Elizabeth Josie Gautier in Forsyth County. Gene was of the Baptist faith. He was employed as a utility coordinator with the City of Winston-Salem, retiring with 20+ years of service. Gene was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Crowder Gautier, and a son, Jeffrey Eugene Gautier. Surviving are his 4 children, Robert ""Bobby"" Gautier (Angie) of Pinnacle, Sharon Conrad (Jimmy) of Winston-Salem, Teresa Brady (James) of Ararat, NC, and Joe Gautier (Stephanie) of Winston-Salem; 11 grandchildren, Jeffrey, Michael, Jay, Angela, Lindsay, Rindy, Jeremy, Amber, Megan, Cody and Harlow; 6 great grandchildren, Halle, Tristan, Brianna, Jordan, Ava, and Noah; and 3 sisters, Virginia Greiner of Winston-Salem, , Dot Gilbert of Pinnacle, and Rudy Marin (Reg) of Atlanta, GA. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 4, 2016 at Oaklawn Gardens of Memory with Rev. Curtis Meadows officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, January 3, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Rd., Dobson, NC 27017.
