Albert Monroe Crater

Mr. Albert Monroe Crater, 82, of Advance passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. He was born June 3, 1926 in Forsyth County to Howard R. and Lillie Ziglar Crater. Mr. Crater is a member of New Philadelphia Moravian Church and was retired from Bell South. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Dale Monroe Crater; two brothers, H.R. and Wilburn Crater and two sisters, Geneva Easter and Sarah Rash. Surviving him is his wife of 61 years, Lorene Crater; a sister, Betty Wise and husband George of Winston-Salem; a brother, Roger Crater and wife Eileen of Santa Monica, CA and special nieces and nephews, Bill Wise, Patricia Spaugh, Judy Renfro, Ken Easter and John Wall. A funeral service will be held 12:00 p.m. Friday, November 28, 2008 at New Philadelphia Moravian Church with Dr. Worth Green and Rev. David A. Marcus, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the church graveyard. The family will receive friends 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. in the church parlor. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Philadelphia Moravian Church, 4440 Country Club Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27104. Online Condolences may be made to www.hayworth-miller.com. Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel is serving the family.
