Alan Joe Stimpson

LewisvilleMr. Alan Joe Stimpson, 49, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2011 at his home. He was born June 19, 1962 in Forsyth County to Joseph and Ruby Taylor Stimpson. Mr. Stimpson was a member of Enon Baptist Church. He graduated from Appalachian St. University and UNC Greensboro. He taught middle school and coached football for nearly ten years. Mr. Stimpson later worked for Home Depot. Preceding him in death was his father, Joseph C. Stimpson. Surviving is his wife, Lee Anne Schnell Stimpson; son, Joseph Donald Stimpson; mother, Ruby T. Stimpson; sister, Cindy S. Hammonds (Fred); also surviving is a niece, Sally Hammonds and a nephew, Eric Hammonds. A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, November 20, 2011 at the family's home with Rev. Mark Elmore officiating. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
