Ailene Craft

Mrs. Ailene Davis Craft passed away at home on Friday, September 9, 2022. She was born on April 14, 1929 in Davidson County to the late Opal Koontz Crews and Roosevelt Davis. Mrs. Craft was a skilled seamstress and worked at Anchor Co. and Davis department stores. She loved music and was a talented pianist. Mrs. Craft also enjoyed cooking and gardening. She loved her cats, especially Theodore.  Mrs. Craft was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Marion Herbert Craft and her half brother, Garland Crews. She leaves behind her four children, Lynne Criner, Sandra Elliott, Michael Craft and Phillip Craft; five grandchildren, Marsha, Chris, Matthew, Emily, and Ryan; four great grandchildren, Jackson, Fiona, Caroline, and Jack.  A graveside service will be held at Lewisville United Methodist Church on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Lewisville United Methodist Church at P.O. Box 305, Lewisville, NC 27023 or to the Forsyth Humane Society at 4881 Country Club Rd., Winston Salem, NC 27104.
