RURAL HALL Mrs. Agnes Zachwieja Sardler, 79, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. She was surrounded by her loving family when Jesus called her home. Mrs. Sardler was born in Philadephia, PA on September 11, 1929 the daughter of the late Stanley and Sophia Jarzana Zachwieja. She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in King. She retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. in 1998 with 32 years of service. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest M. Sardler; one brother, Johnny Zachwieja; one sister, Geneva Miller; and one granddaughter, Penny Sardler. Mrs. Sardler is survived by her four daughters, Regina Tuttle and husband Wayne of Rural Hall, Irene Tuttle and husband Steve of Rural Hall, Kathy Reece and husband Jimmy of Tobaccoville and Tina Taylor and husband Mac of King; one son, Terry Sardler and wife Diane of Mt. Airy; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Alex Zachwieja and wife Helen of Bluefield, WVA; and her faithful canine companion, Daisy. A private graveside service will be conducted for the family Saturday, June 27 with Father Larry Hiney officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Friday, June 26 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or to Good Shepherd Catholic Church, P.O. Box 1149, King, NC 27021. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Mrs. Sardler's devoted caregivers, Marsha Jarrell, Debbie Whiteheart, Diane Denny and to the caring staff of Hospice, especially Karen, for helping the family through this journey. ""We love you Mom!""
