""Heaven will be sweeter with her there."" Addie Lou Whitman Taylor of Lewisville went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, March 7, 2013. She was a sweet and loving mother, wife, sister, aunt and friend. Addie was born on June 14, 1918 to Clyde H. Whitman, Sr., and Flora Angel Whitman in Lewisville, NC. She was the second child of eleven children. On April 4, 1940, she married the love of her life, Guy Arthur Taylor. They had a very special daughter, Kay Gaynelle, born to them on September 14, 1946. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; brothers Roger Whitman, ""Little Norman"" Whitman and C. H. Whitman, Jr.; and sisters Dela Mae Behre, Mary Livengood, Martha June Trent, and Louise Huffman. She is survived by her loving daughter Kay Taylor, of the home; brother William Whitman and wife Frances; sisters Frances Hauser and husband George, and Pearl Norman and husband Charlie, all of Lewisville, NC., sister-in-law, Faye Whitman of Winston-Salem, and a special cousin, Helen Sloan of Winston-Salem. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Addie loved being a housewife and mother. She and her daughter opened a daycare in her home, where for years she shared her love with many precious children, who will always remember ""Nanny."" The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm on Sunday, March 10, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville. A funeral service will be held at Lewisville Baptist Church on Monday, March 11 at 2:00 pm, with Rev. Jo Bjorling and Rev. Randy Whitman officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Lewisville Baptist Church, 125 Lewisville-Clemmons Rd., Lewisville, NC 27023. The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and caregivers who have helped Addie with her care since her fall in November, 2012. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com
