Adam John Mackey

Adam John Mackey, 57, passed away at home on November 6, 2024. Adam was born on January 25, 1967, to Roy Elmer Mackey and Lorraine Marie Aberle Mackey in Streator, IL. A graduate of Appalachian State University, Adam remained an avid fan of App State football. He also enjoyed the Carolina Panthers, and he loved to go fishing. His many friends will remember his great sense of humor and outgoing nature. Adam was fun to be around, and everyone loved him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Mackey, sister, Bonnie Taylor, and nephew, Jason Shepherd. Surviving are his brother, Michael Mackey (Sharon); sister Linnea Shepherd; nieces, Sarah and Katie Taylor; nephews, Josh Shepherd and Matthew Taylor; great nieces, Arianna and Kalliyan Meas; and many special friends. A celebration of Adam’s life will be held from 2-4pm, Sunday, Nov. 10, 2024, at Clark's Barbecue, 1331 NC 66, Kernersville.
