Adam Lindsay Letchworth

KERNERSVILLE - Mr. Adam Lindsay Letchworth, 21, died Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at his home. Adam was born on November 8, 1991 in Forsyth County to John Wayne and Sandra Lankford Letchworth. He was a 2010 graduate of East Forsyth High School and earned his Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Forsyth Technical Community College, in May of this year. Adam was a lover of skateboarding and would try all tricks with the board whether he could master them or not. Recently he started back fishing, which he learned early in life from his grandmother, Betty. Adam was a friend to all and 'buddy' to many. He had a 4 year old friend and niece, Lilly Mae, that he could talk to about anything and they loved each other dearly. Preceding Adam in death was his father, John. Surviving are his mother, Sandra Letchworth; one sister, Eva Marie (Jason) Kampwerth; one niece, Lilly Mae Kampwerth; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Pine Grove United Methodist Church with Dr. Norman Hubbard officiating. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends following the Committal Service in the Church Fellowship Hall. Memorials may be made to Pine Grove Youth Leadership Fund, 1018 Piney Grove Road, Kernersville, NC 27284. K-Vegas Skate Shop is going to build a 'Memorial Skateboard' Fence in Adam's memory with several of his broken skateboards. Please contact the shop to help with construction of the fence. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
