Adam Garrett Cagle, 33, of Maidens, VA, formerly of Pfafftown, NC, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at Henrico Doctors’ Hospital in Richmond, VA. Adam was born in Forsyth County on April 29, 1990. Adam was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James Edward Landers, Jr. and paternal grandfather, Martin L. Cagle, Jr. He is survived by his fiancé and biggest supporter, Becca Bales; two sons, Levi Garrett Cagle and Cole Thomas Cagle; parents, Cliff Cagle (Donna) and Susan Landers Young; the mother of his children, Lindsey Laws; brother, Jake Cagle (Brooke); maternal grandmother, Jean Hauser Landers; and paternal grandmother, Sandra Harvel Cagle. He is also survived by two nephews, Mason and Cooper Cagle; aunts, Elizabeth Ann Lamm and Crickett Cagle Choplin; cousins, Courtney Choplin, Landon Choplin, Adrian Tinoco, and Harper Leigh LeCompte; and stepbrothers, Chris Dean, Jack Robertson, and Steve Robertson. Adam was proudly employed with Concrete Pipe & Precast, Inc. in Ashland, VA. He was a kind and loyal soul, a family man, and cherished friend to many. He was a fierce protector of his family, whom he loved deeply. Adam enjoyed tattoos, spending time with his family and especially cherished the time spent with his two sons. They enjoyed many Saturday nights together at Bowman Gray Stadium. Adam was loved by many and will be deeply missed by his family and friends. During unspeakable grief, Adam’s family is comforted knowing that Adam was able to provide the gift of life through organ donation. They are thankful and know that Adam would be proud that he was able to help others in their time of need. A funeral service will be held at 12pm on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Dr. Paul Mullen officiating. Interment will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:30 until 11:45am prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Forsyth Jail & Prison Ministries, C/O the Transition to Work Program, PO Box 11802, Winston-Salem, NC 27116.
