Ada Davis Styers

Mrs. Ada Gustina Davis Styers, age 86 of Walkertown went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, April 27, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Styers was born in Forsyth County October 21, 1928 to David Franklin and Betty Alice VanHoy Davis. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church of Winston-Salem where she loved to sing in the choir. She was a former Sunday School teacher and loved reading her Bible. In addition to her parents Mrs. Styers was preceded in death by nine siblings.
Mrs. Styers is survived by her husband of 67 years, Oliver Wendell Styers of the home. One daughter, Sherry (Robert) Waycaster of Germanton. Two sons; Michael (Shirley) Styers of Walkertown and Pastor Gary (Patsy) Styers of Winston-Salem. Six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Styers will be held Thursday, April 30, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Liberty Baptist Church in Winston-Salem by Dr. Bobby Roberson and Pastor Gary Styers. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends at Liberty Baptist Church Wednesday evening April 29th from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M. Memorials may be made to Liberty Baptist Church, 1548 Old Hollow Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27105. Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall is serving the Styers family.
