A. Buford Caudle

Mr. A. Buford Caudle, 84 of Salemtowne, died Saturday, March 7, 2009 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Caudle was born September 6, 1924 in Surry County, a son of the late Arnold Caudle and the late Effie Marion Caudle. He was a former teacher and counselor with the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools, but retired as the Regional Director of the North Carolina Division of Social Service for the Blind. He was a member of Trinity Moravian Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lorene Caudle in 2004. Mr. Caudle is survived by his children, Butch Caudle of St. Johns, FL., Don Caudle of Jacksonville Beach, FL., and Patricia Weidemann and husband Roger of Stephenville, TX., sisters, Dolly Hauser and Gladys Jones, 5 grandchildren, 6great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at Trinity Moravian Church with Rev. John Jackman and Rev. Linda Browne officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview United Methodist Church Cemetery in Pinnacle. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Tuesday and Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Fairview United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund 3692 Quaker Church Rd. Pinnacle, NC 27043.
