Kernersville – Wilmoth “Wilma” Fay Anderson, 77, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 20, 2022. She was born on April 12, 1945, in Horry County, SC to the late Flossie Buffkin and Roy Jefferson Anderson. Wilma was a quiet, sweet, and kind woman. She loved spending time reading, watching her soaps, and cheering on her Duke Blue Devils. Wilma had a servants heart and a love for the Lord. She was a faithful member at Triad Church, where she was known as “Ms. Wilma” and loved by so many there. Like her love for the Lord, she had a strong love for her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend who will be missed.
In addition to her parents, Wilma was preceded in death by an infant brother and six sisters, Georgie Stroud, Christine Strickland, Berlyne McCann, Miriam Anderson, and Rachel Anderson.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Wilbert Scott Mason(Jean); three grandchildren, Karen Faye Stolt, Aaron Scott Mason(Paige), and Mallory Ann Mason; one great grandchild, Evan Scott Mason; one brother, Arvil Anderson(Lulabell); and several nieces and nephews.
At this time, no formal services will be held. Memorials may be made in Wilma’s honor to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Awareness at www.komen.org or to Brenner’s Children’s Hospital at www.wakehealth.edu/about-us/about-brenner-childrens/support-brenner. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
