Warren Smith

Mr. Warren Bowden Smith, 88, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2020 at his residence.  He was born June 3, 1932 in Davie County, the son of Alex Fred Smith and Hazel Bowden Smith.  He was retired from Tyco, Inc. and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.  The simplest pleasures in life brought a lot of joy and happiness to Warren.  He was an avid golfer and loved to watch the Atlanta Braves.  A humble and kind man who saw good in all people.  He was a loving Daddy, Brother, Papa and friend to many.  “As long as I live, you will live.  As long as I live, you will be remembered.  As long as I live, you will be loved.”  Warren was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Renee S. Motsinger and three sisters, Claira Tally, Thelma Hyland and Avenelle Willard.  Survivors include his daughter, Ronda Swaim; a sister Zelda Burton; a brother, Fred Smith (Doris); his grandchildren, Elizabeth Swaim (Kurt), Erica Swaim, Kayla Swaim and Seth Motsinger (Jacquelyn) and four great grandchildren, Payton Swaim, Abby McNabb, Dylan McNabb and Damon McNabb.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.  Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com
