Virginia Lynch

Mrs. Virginia Roland Lynch, 84, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at her residence. Virginia was born on March 15, 1935 to Ida Elliott Roland and Eugene Roland of Jefferson, NC. She was a sister to Howard, Flake, Oren, Villa, Carrie, and Jody Roland. She was a wife of 62 years to Warner Doran Lynch. Virginia was a mother to two children, Sherry Lynch Wagoner (husband, Mike) and Thomas Warner Lynch (wife, Sharon). Virginia was a grandmother to Laurie Johnson (husband, Michael), Johnny Wagoner (wife, Courtney), Benjamin Lynch (wife, Nancy Kerr-Lynch), Jeremy Lynch, Samantha Barnes (husband, DJ), and, Joshua, Mandi, and Austin Beck. She was a great grandmother to Cameron and Bella Wagoner, Hailee, Bridget and Ceaira Johnson, Landon, Macy, and Emery Barnes, and Braxton and Brooks Beck.

Virginia was a CNA at High Point Memorial Hospital for 26 years where she had a range of duties from working with the elderly at the end of their lives, to welcoming newborns into this world in the nursery. She cared for, nurtured, and rocked thousands of babies.

As a loving mother and wife, she excelled in the good times with family making candy and gardening; with friends, playing rook and talking on the patio. She enjoyed her quiet time with God, puzzles, and crocheting. She was strong in the trying times in caring for her husband after his stroke and the death of two grandchildren, Michelle Wagoner and Christopher Lynch.

She always had a smile and a kind word even until the end. She was a person we should strive to be like. She will be greatly missed.

A memorial service for Virginia will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, December 29, 2019 at Bunker Hill United Methodist Church with Pastor David Rorie officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County at 200 Hospice Way, Lexington NC 27292. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
