Tonya Cochran

Tonya Kay Lockard Cochran age 58, of Walkertown, passed away surrounded by family on Friday December 30, 2022, at Forsyth Medical Center. Tonya was born in Bellflower CA, on January 5,1964, to Freddie Lockard & Judy Lockard. Tonya was a graduate of Poca High School of Poca WV. She worked at CountrySide lanes in the snack bar and loved all her bowlers. She also volunteered at the Piedmont Challenger League as a cook. She loved being around family and friends and spending time with her grandchildren and all her fur grandbabies.

She was preceded in death by her father, Freddie Lockard; her mother, Judy Lockard; younger brother, Randy Lockard, and a niece, Heather Lockard.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Cochran of 34 years of marriage; children, Ronna Williams, her husband, Danny Williams of Walkertown, Jason Cochran and wife, Santana Cochran of Winston Salem, Austin Cochran of Walkertown; her grandchildren, Katelyn Priest of Walkertown, and DJ Williams of Walkertown. Along with her brothers, Adam Lockard, Chip Lockard, and Mark Lockard; a sister, Rita Hackett and tons of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.

A funeral service will be at held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory in Walkertown, NC. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Piedmont Challenger League of Kernersville Wesleyan Church at 930 North Main Street Kernersville, NC 27284.
