Robert Bryant

Mr. Robert Thomas Bryant, 85, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at Forsyth Medical Center.  Robert was born in Forsyth County on February 13, 1934, to the late Thomas Erastus Bryant and Grace Mullican Bryant.  Robert retired from AT&T with more than 30 years of service.  He was a member of Boyer’s Chapel Church of Christ in Clemmons.  In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Sue Purvis; and two brothers, Elmo Bryant and Wilbur Bryant.  He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lois Norris Bryant; one son, Keith Bryant and wife, Melissa of Jamestown, NC; two grandsons that were his “buddies”, Davis Bryant and Thomas Bryant; two nieces, Dramma Whitt and husband, Jerry and Rinnie Purvis and husband, Phillip; one nephew, Tommy Purvis and wife, Connie; and numerous other loving relatives.  A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, March 9, 2019, at Forsyth Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Mr. James Percival and Mr. Jerry Williams officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10:30 am until 11:30 am on Saturday, March 9, 2019, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Boyer’s Chapel Church of Christ, 798 South Peace Haven Rd., Clemmons, NC 27103.
