Mr. Richard Doyle Anderson, 79, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2019 at Forsyth Medical Center after a lifelong fight with Diabetes.  He was born October 17, 1939 in Cherokee County, NC, the son of Floyd and Fannie Millsaps Anderson.  He retired from Winston-Salem Healthcare as a Maintenance Supervisor and had previously worked at Kelly Office Machines.  A good generous man, he loved to fix things and enjoyed eating breakfast at Cagney’s with his friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Brian Todd Anderson and a brother, Ray Anderson.  He will be greatly missed by many especially by the family he leaves behind which include his sister, Ruth Hawkins and husband, Clay Howard of Winston-Salem; his niece, Debbie Crabtree and husband, Danny of Reidsville and his ex-wife, Lynda Anderson of the home.  A Celebration of Richard’s life will be held at 12:00 noon, Tuesday May 14, 2019 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Chris Byrne officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Drive Suite 900, Arlington, VA 22202.  Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com
