Peggy Lou Cain Cline, 82, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2020 at SECU Hospice Care of Yadkinville.
Peggy was born in Stokes County on September 27, 1938 to Arthur Cain, Sr. and Sadie Moore Cain. She grew up in King and was a member of Open Door Baptist Church in Winston-Salem for over 45 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 49 years, Leo Cline; brothers, John and Shorty Cain; and sisters, Nancy Blake and Linda Jones.
Surviving family includes her four children, Veril Williams (Jane), Rose Cline, David Cline and Wendy Cline; nine grandchildren, Shane Moore (Pamela), Deanna Gibson (Donnie), Joseph McDonough, Patricia White (Chad), Jessica Phillips (Justin), Jennifer Randell, Travis Crews (Katlin), Jacob Crews (Olivia) and Spencer Moore; 18 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Arthur P. “Bud” Cain, Jr. and Leroy Cain; and one sister, May Ayers.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, October 12, 2020 at Open Door Baptist Church with Pastor Don Hackett and Arthur P. “Bud” Cain, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will immediately follow the service at Parklawn Memorial Park.
The family will gladly accept flowers in Peggy’s memory or memorial donations to Open Door Baptist Church, 3130 Burke Mill Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
