Patricia Caviness

Greensboro – Ms. Patricia Annette Pegg Caviness, 73, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at Camden Health and Rehab. She was born in Guilford County on April 26, 1947 to Charles Leo and Mildred Bolen Pegg. Patricia was a hard worker. She loved to help take care of the elderly and she loved her Lord. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Patricia was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by three brothers, Joe Pegg, Chuck Pegg, and Curt Pegg. She is survived by four children, Sherri Nelson (husband, Jimmy), Lori Suits (husband, Mike), Andy Nelson (wife, Angie), and Scott Nelson (wife, Brianna); six grandchildren, Michael Simmons (Lisa Byrnes), Anna Simmons (Bryan Harvey), Heather Hardy (husband, Ray), Taylor Locklear, Nicholas Nelson, and Hailee Nelson; four great grandchildren, Brayden, Kinslee, Elizabeth, and Stella; and three siblings, Dwight Pegg, Mark Pegg, and Betty Easter.

Due to restrictions for public gatherings, a private funeral service for Patricia will be held at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Pastor Tommy Massy officiating. Burial will take place at Northwest Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive family and friends at Andy and Angie’s home following the graveside service.
