Michele Ballard

HIGH POINT – Catherine Michele Ballard, 42, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2018. Michele was born on January 23, 1976 in Guilford County to James Stanley and Elizabeth Alford Hedgecock. She was a very dedicated wife and mother, who also enjoyed photography, playing the piano and reading. Michele had a strong work ethic and loved traveling to the coast and mountains. She also had a special place in her heart for her canine companions.  Michele graduated Summa Cum Laude from NC State University and attended Covenant United Methodist Church in High Point. She was loved dearly by her family and friends.

Michele was preceded in death by her brother, Stan Hedgecock; and nephew, Joe Hedgecock.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 18 years, Johnny Ballard, II; one son, Daniel Thomas Ballard; her parents, Jim and Elizabeth Hedgecock; her parents-in-law, Johnny and Terry Ballard; two sisters, Charlanne Hedgecock and Janet Melton (David); one brother, Michael Hedgecock (Christy); sisters-in-law, Sherry Ballard and Sheila Glenn; and several loving nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel with Mitchell Johnston officiating. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:45 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
