Mrs. Louise Sheets Ballard, 80, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2019 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born in Davie County on March 4, 1939 to the late Warren and Bernice Cornatzer Sheets.  Mrs. Ballard was a member of Forest Hill Baptist Church and retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co.  Louise struggled with medical complications throughout her life, but wasn’t one who ever complained. Preceding her in death were a sister, Frances Yates and a brother, James Sheets.  Surviving is her husband, Russell E. Ballard; two sons, Rodney E. Ballard of Nashville, TN and Randy S. Ballard of Pinehurst, NC; four grandchildren, Brooke, Allison, Spenser, and Luke; also surviving is a sister, Sue Hughes and a dear friend, Toni Slayton.  A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, April 8, 2019 at Forsyth Memorial Park with Pastor Benjamin Webb and Pastor Steve Pegram officiating.  The family will receive friends from 6-7 PM Sunday at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel.  The family would like to send special thanks to Becky K., Kylishia, Holli, April and Sarah of Community Home Care and Hospice, and the nurses at Kindred Home Care.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Community Home Care and Hospice, 1308 Davie Ave. Statesville, NC 28677 or to Crestwood Baptist Church, 530 Motor Rd. Winston-Salem, NC 27105.
