Kevin John Rickansrud

Kevin John Rickansrud, 51, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2016, unexpectedly in Chestertown MD. He was born in Stillwater, OK and grew up in Voorhees, NJ, graduated High School in 1983 and graduated Rutgers University in 1987. After working for National Freight for a few years, he moved to North Carolina to work at Cardinal Freight. For the past 16 years, he has worked at EPES Trucking as Vice President of Operations before being promoted to Executive Vice President.

He was loving and devoted father of two sons, Parker and Austin and was a passionate Philadelphia Eagles, Philadelphia Phillies, and Rutgers Scarlet Knights fan. He always looked forward to planning family vacations to Disney, Myrtle Beach, spending time in Arkansas, and visiting with family and friends. His best memories were taking his boys to different sporting venues across the United States to see college and professional sport teams.

He is survived by his sons Parker and Austin Rickansrud, and their Mother Anna H. Rickansrud of Kernersville; his parents David and Marcia Rickansrud of Springdale, Arkansas, brother Kirk Rickansrud and sister-in-law Jane Rickansrud, brother Kyle Rickansrud and sister-in-law Julie Rickansrud, and sister, Kristin Ray and brother-in-law Matt Ray.

Services will be held on Sunday 12/4/16 at 3pm Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel, 141 Smith-Edwards Road, Kernersville, NC 27284. A visitation will be held from 1-3 before the service at the funeral home.
