On September 26, 2022, God summoned one of his earthly angels’ home after an extended period of illness. Sergeant First Class. Kenneth Jones was born December 9, 1954. He was a graduate of East Forsyth High School, class of 1973. After graduation he joined the United States Army, where he served three tours in Germany, Büdingen, Nürburg and Zweibrücken. His tenure started in 1973 until retirement in 1993. After retirement, he worked with Piedmont Airlines until retirement in 2007. He was proceeded in death by his parents, brother, sister, two grandsons: Kennarian Luther Jones and Titus Alonzo Jordan; mother-in-law, father-in-law, sister-in-law, two brother- in-laws and a nephew. He leaves to cherish his unconditional love his loving wife of 45 years, Chiquita “Jeanne” Jones, four sons: Kenneth (Felicia) Jones, Brian Jones, Marcus (LaToya) and Devin (Deandra) Jones. One brother Ronnie (Kathy) Jones; ten grandchildren: Earlando Murdock, Bre’Nayiah Dawson, Kenneth “Trevon” Jones, Jeneya Jordan, Tyson Jordan, Kenxarian “Amir” Jones, Kayden Jones, Kaleb Norwood, Karmen Jones and Kamirah Jones; one great- grandchild, Zahir   Dawson Hairston. Five brother-in-laws: Rickie Miller, Terry Miller, Darrell Miller, Michael King and Larry Rucker; Four Sister-in-laws: Terita King, Bridgette Crawford, April Miller and Mamie Miller. Two special cousins: Lois Scales and Thelma Dobson, one longtime friend Vernell Miles, along with a host of other family and friends. Kenneth will always be remembered for the endless love he had for his wife and family, but his humble spirit is what will outshine all the rest. He had a love for watching wrestling and Westerns, which he enjoyed watching with his boys. He will truly be missed and his legacy will be carried on forever. A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Rev. Harrison Carlton officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior at the funeral home.
