Kathleen Roos

Kathleen Mae Roos, 91, died Monday, November 26, 2018, in Greensboro.

She was born September 5, 1927 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she graduated from Mercyhurst College in Erie, Pennsylvania and attended the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.

She married Richard Roos on October 7, 1950 in Pittsburgh. They lived in the city's northern suburbs for more than 50 years, raising three children and staying actively involved in their church and community. Kathleen was a devoted wife and loving mother, a talented pianist and singer, a generous hostess and cook, and a doting grandmother and great-grandmother. She was known for her deep faith, her sweet tooth, her easy nature and love of laughter, and her quiet strength.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Richard Roos, her three children Tom, Maureen, and Linda, seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

In recent years, she received excellent care from Spring Arbor and Hospice of Greensboro.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, November 30, 2018, at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Greensboro.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Avenue, Seventh Floor, New York, New York 10001. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
