Mr. “Jack” John D. Douros III, 59, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home after a four year battle with cancer. He was born in Detroit, MI on March 15, 1959 to John Douros and Anna Skidmore Douros and raised in Littleton, CO. Jack was a loving and caring husband and friend whom everybody loved. He was a proud alumni of Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, a very talented graphics designer, musician, cook, and a handyman Norm Abrams would have been proud of. He loved all animals and feeding and watching the birds. Delivering Meals-On-Wheels for Senior Services was something he enjoyed extremely and befriended those he delivered to. He is preceded in death by his mother Anna and father John. He is survived by his wife, Jeana Douros; sister, Diane Swan and her husband Neil; niece, Allison Brown, her husband Richard and their two children McKenna and Camden; niece, Brigette Swan and her husband Brandon Kerstetter. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jack’s name may be made to: Senior Services Meals-On-Wheels, 2895 Shorefair Drive, Winston-Salem, NC 27105 or the Forsyth Humane Society, 4881 Country Club Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27104.
