Mr. James Alexander Freeman, 80 years of age, of Winston-Salem, passed away peacefully, Monday, October 21, 2019 at Accordius Nursing Facility. He was born November 16, 1938 in Forsyth County to Daisy Tesh Freeman and Edward Franklin Freeman. Mr. Freeman was a hardworking man and devoted to his faith. He met and married the love of his life, Maureen Anne Morphy in the very city of his birth. They had two children together: James Christopher Freeman and Misty Anne Freeman. While Mr. Freeman had to travel often during his career as a district sales manager for RJ Reynolds, he always had time to worship his Lord. He enjoyed his fellowship with members of his church every Sunday. He was known among many as a compassionate and loving father and husband, always willing to set aside his own needs for others. James will be remembered and continuously loved by his two children and his six grandchildren, alongside numerous friends. As his loved ones grieve for his passing, they gain comfort from the knowledge he is now free from earthly suffering and cradled in the arms of the Lord. A funeral service will be held 12:00PM Sunday, October 27, 2019 at Hayworth-Miller Chapel, Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. Family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 PM, Friday, October 25, 2019 at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
