Evelyn Sellers

Evelyn Oneida McKnight Sellers, 77, passed away on Friday, October 19, 2018 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.

Evelyn was born on August 4, 1941 in Forsyth County to Bruce Wall and Elizabeth Blevins McKnight. She married Robert Lee Sellers on May 1, 1965.

A lifelong member of Fries Memorial Moravian Church, Evelyn was a member of the church band from the age of 10 years, playing in the Salem Congregation Sunrise Service for 65 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Carolyn Barrow.

Surviving family includes her husband of 53 years, Robert Lee Sellers; daughter, Colleen Elizabeth Sellers; son, Robert Bruce Sellers; sister, Margie Lamb and husband George; grandchildren, Lindley Elizabeth Ball, Austin Tyler Owens, Chance Conner Ball, Carson Baine Sellers and Mia Grace Sellers; and great-grandson, Conner Lee Goins.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Monday, October 22, 2018 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Interment will immediately follow the service at Salem Moravian Graveyard. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at the funeral home.
